How to Participate in Town Government – Week of July 24, 2022

The governor on Saturday, July 16, 2022 approved another extension to remote meetings of town government. The extension runs though March 31, 2023. This week, Westwood Housing Authority/Westwood Affordable Housing Associate makes use of that extension. Westwood's Board of Health and School Board will meet in-person.


Westwood Housing Authority/Westwood Affordable Housing Associate Meeting via Zoom, Monday, July 25, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. On the agenda is a discussion and vote regarding forming a subcommittee to make formal offers on potential properties for purchase for affordable housing. Additionally, a motion will be made to enter Executive Session to discuss the purchase, exchange, lease, or value of properties located at 22 School Street and 49 Fisher Street.

Board of Health Meeting, Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. The board will vote to approve the Norfolk County 8 Local Public Health Coalition Inter Municipal Agreement (IMA) for Public Health Excellence and Shared Services Grant.

This in-person meeting will be held at 50 Carby Street in the Champagne Meeting Room.


School Committee Meeting, Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. The committee will discuss security strategies and deployment. It will also discuss collective bargaining. After an Executive Session, it will return to Open Session. The Superintendent will report on hiring, class size, and 2022-23 priorities. There will be action taken on staff contracts and pay rates and approval of School Committee policies.

This in-person meeting will take place at Four Points by Sheraton – Meeting Room at 1125 Boston Providence Turnpike in Norwood.
