On the heels of National Dog Day, Friday, August 26, 2022, it seems appropriate to take a minute to consider the many dogs, along with other animals, available for adoption this weekend. Check out the profiles of some furry friends below who are available to meet you this weekend at the Dedham and Boston locations of the Animal Rescue League of Boston.
Photo courtesy of Animal Rescue League of Boston.Mellow is a 2 year-old mixed breed dog at ARL's Dedham location who is looking for a quiet home, away from traffic, where he can take a little time to get to know you and unleash his people-oriented, goofy nature. He is active and would appreciate a fenced yard. He's starting to learn how to be friends with dogs and can be nervous around new people and places, so a patient and understanding but active home with a yard could suit him well. Luna Sky is a fun-loving husky mix puppy at the Dedham location of ARL who is looking for a playmate to help her release her energy! She loves the water, playing with her puppy friends, and exploring new places. For more information about Luna Sky, click here.

She arrived at the shelter a little timid and nervous, but with time and space, Neno has been able to reveal a playful personality as she plays with her toys. She is hoping to find a forever home together with her best girlfriend, Chunky. The two are bonded and love to play in the hay together and have a lot to say while doing it! To meet any of the above animals, or see who else is looking for a home, drop by the Animal Rescue League of Boston in Dedham on Wednesdays through Sundays from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The rescue is open by appointment on Tuesdays. It is closed on Mondays and holidays.
