Below are ways to participate in upcoming meetings of town government. A few meetings of note:

  • Monday: Select Board meets to make a Purple Heart Proclamation and to discuss a Long Range Financial Planning Committee.
  • Wednesday: Norfolk County Commissioners will hold a public hearing on the Commissioners’ Fiscal Year 2023 Capital Budget Proposal.

Select Board Meeting via Zoom, Monday, May 23, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. The Select Board recognizes the service of Michael Walsh as outgoing Select Board Chair, along with staff promotions from the Fire Department and Police Department.

Discussion will include the topic of a Long Range Financial Planning Committee, an update on Hale, a Canton Interchange Proposed Project Routes 93 and 95, a Purple Heart Proclamation, and the Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony, among other items.

Board of Health MeetingTuesday, May 24, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. This is an in-person meeting in the Champagne Meeting Room at 50 Carby Street. On the agenda are approval for recreational camps for children, appointment of a burial agent, the Public Health Nurse’s report, and COVI-19 updates.


Charter Review Committee Meeting via Zoom, Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. The committee will discuss the survey to Board and Committees, re-vote to recommend Attorney Goldberg as Special Legal Counsel to the committee and discuss meetings with elected and appointed officials.

Norfolk County Commissioner’s Public Hearing, Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. This public hearing will be both via Zoom and in--person at the Commissioners’ Office Conference Room at 614 High Street (2nd Floor) in Dedham. The topic for discussion is the Commissioners’ Fiscal Year 2023 Capital Budget Proposal.

The budget is available for viewing online at https://www.norfolkcounty.org. Beginning May 18, 2022, the budget is also available for examination at the Norfolk County Commissioners’ Office between 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. For questions, contact the Commissioners’ Office at 781-461-6105.
