Norfolk County Sheriff’s Office will host the second “Flags of our Families” tribute to fallen heroes with a flag installation ceremony in Braintree. Fifty full-size American flags will be installed and displayed on the lawn of the Braintree Public Safety Complex, and a ceremony will be held to honor the memory of those who have passed and to recognize their sacrifices.
The public is invited to participate in a short ceremony to honor the fallen heroes at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 27th, on the lawn of the Braintree Public Safety Complex. Taps will be played followed by an address by Sheriff McDermott. The installation of the flags is being done in partnership with the Braintree Veterans Services department, which is providing the flags.

Sunny, with a high of 91 and low of 63 degrees. Sunny in the morning, partly cloudy during the afternoon and evening, clear overnight.
This needed to happen 5 years ago. But now the real wrangling begins as MPT will fight to get as much $$$ as they can from the state as possible”just compensation.”
I appreciate all of the work and time that the FS1 Steering Committee and Select Board have put into this process. I've also noticed a big difference in communication around this from the town on Facebook and Westwood Wire. This feels like a much different process than the first time around.
Combing the FS1 vote with the general election makes a ton of sense, and in fact, makes me wonder why not do this will ALL elections instead of holding town elections in April?
Just a reminder that you can e-mail the FS1 Committee at FS1Committee@westwoodma.gov with questions/feedback, etc.
Two different votes for the Project?
First one in October for 'site selection, budget, and funding sources' for a new FS1.
Then, a November vote for 'designing, constructing, equipping, and furnishing' of a new FS1.
Seems repetitive.
