Every year, First Parish of Westwood holds a pumpkin sale, with net proceeds going to benefit charities such as New Life Furniture Bank, Greater Boston Food Bank, Rosie's Place, and Lifeworks' Harris Fund. The pumpkins you buy here are Pumpkins with a Purpose.
Children can wander among possible selections of different sizes, and lingering for photos is welcome.
The patch is open from Saturday, October 14, 2023, through the end of the month, on weekends and some weekday afternoons. Hours are:

I completely agree. Washington St. also has some terrible patches, especially the handicap ramps. I don’t understand why the DPW is responsible for clearing sidewalks in front of homes and businesses. It seems that those should be the responsibility of the property owner.
The sidewalks on High Rock and Hartford have been pretty treacherous this winter too. I didn't contact DPW about it though.
