The South Asian Association hosts its annual Westwood Diwali Festival which includes an opening ceremony with parade, diya lighting, prayer song and student speeches at 6:30 p.m. Dinner consisting of South Asian food will be at 7:00 p.m., followed at 8:00 p.m. by a dance performance, dessert, chai, and dancing for all. I appreciate all of the work and time that the FS1 Steering Committee and Select Board have put into this process. I've also noticed a big difference in communication around this from the town on Facebook and Westwood Wire. This feels like a much different process than the first time around.
Combing the FS1 vote with the general election makes a ton of sense, and in fact, makes me wonder why not do this will ALL elections instead of holding town elections in April?

Two different votes for the Project?
First one in October for 'site selection, budget, and funding sources' for a new FS1.
Then, a November vote for 'designing, constructing, equipping, and furnishing' of a new FS1.
Seems repetitive.
