The library’s Sip and Shop event is back by popular demand! Around 40 vendors will be selling their products at the second annual Sip & Shop event sponsored by the Friends of the Canton Public Library. There will be both new and returning vendors. Join us on Sunday, November 24, from noon until 4 pm at the library, and jump start your holiday shopping.
The afternoon will feature raffle prizes, a book sale and tarot reader. Admission is free for all current Friends of the Library and $5.00 for non-members. There is a separate fee for the tarot reader. Wine, malt beverages, and light refreshments will also be available for purchase.
All proceeds from this event will be utilized by the Friends of the Library to support Library programming and initiatives. To find out more about how to support the Canton Public Library, click here.
Mark your calendars for what will be a fun day of friends, shopping, and prizes!

This is progress and I am glad to see the Select Board moving in the right direction. However, a majority of voters at last Monday's Special Town Meeting voted to recommend that the Select Board immediately cease its lawsuit against the Westwood Land Trust.
What is the citizen's petition about? I checked the town website, and the only information I could find on town meeting articles was from last year. The public hearing dates for 2026 are posted as February 24-25.
Apparently, you need to submit a public records request through the town's FOIA portal. What a shame, since it should have been posted to the town website upon certification of petition signatures.
Westwood Minute has obtained a copy of the petition and has added a short description of it to the article. A copy of the petition is attached below the article.
