We will be electing delegates to attend the MassDems Nominating Convention that will be held on Friday and Saturday, May 29th and May 30th, in Worcester at the DCU Center.
Registration on March 1st opens at 2:30 p.m. and continues until 3:00 p.m. when the meeting begins, with a 15 minute grace period for registering.
All are welcome to attend the March 1st meeting. After 3:15 p.m., you can attend the caucus as a guest, but will not be permitted to vote for delegates or to run as a delegate to the Convention. Candidates running for local, state and national offices may visit us during the caucus.
Registered Democrats and those enrolled as Democrats on the day of the caucus are eligible to run as delegates.

Sunny, with a high of 91 and low of 63 degrees. Sunny for the morning, partly cloudy during the afternoon and evening, clear overnight.
This needed to happen 5 years ago. But now the real wrangling begins as MPT will fight to get as much $$$ as they can from the state as possible”just compensation.”
I appreciate all of the work and time that the FS1 Steering Committee and Select Board have put into this process. I've also noticed a big difference in communication around this from the town on Facebook and Westwood Wire. This feels like a much different process than the first time around.
Combing the FS1 vote with the general election makes a ton of sense, and in fact, makes me wonder why not do this will ALL elections instead of holding town elections in April?
Just a reminder that you can e-mail the FS1 Committee at FS1Committee@westwoodma.gov with questions/feedback, etc.
Two different votes for the Project?
First one in October for 'site selection, budget, and funding sources' for a new FS1.
Then, a November vote for 'designing, constructing, equipping, and furnishing' of a new FS1.
Seems repetitive.
