From 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Westwood Environmental Action Committee, the Dover Recycling Committee, Sustainable Medfield and the Charles River Repair Coalition will co-sponsor the area’s 7th Repair Café.
Bring broken items to volunteers who donate their time and tools to fix those items, and mingle with neighbors while you wait. Fixable items include jewelry, lamps, clocks, clothing, small furniture, small appliances, bikes, and locks that need to be rekeyed.
Except for your responsibility to purchase replacement parts that may be needed, fixing is free, but not guaranteed. If our fixers can’t fix it, they can usually direct you to where to get a replacement part or where else you could get it fixed. Email westwoodenvironment@gmail.com with any questions.

Patchy rain nearby, with a high of 82 and low of 67 degrees. Overcast for the morning, patchy rain nearby for the afternoon and evening, mist overnight.
That must explain all the lawn sprinklers I saw running Wednesday morning. Oh wait, this takes effect Monday?
This needed to happen 5 years ago. But now the real wrangling begins as MPT will fight to get as much $$$ as they can from the state as possible”just compensation.”
I appreciate all of the work and time that the FS1 Steering Committee and Select Board have put into this process. I've also noticed a big difference in communication around this from the town on Facebook and Westwood Wire. This feels like a much different process than the first time around.
