The Westwood Environmental Action Committee, the Dover Recycling Committee, Sustainable Medfield, the town of Holliston, the town of Sherborn and the Charles River Repair Coalition will co-sponsor the area’s 8th Repair Café from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in Medfield.
Join us to fix that broken bicycle wheel, mend a hole in a sweater or replace the clasp on a necklace. Lamps and clocks are popular items brought in for repair.
Even if our fixers can’t fix it, they can usually direct you where to get a replacement part or where else you could get it fixed. No registration required.
At repair cafés, individuals bring broken items to volunteers who donate their time and tools to fix those items. Repair cafés are part of a grassroots movement aimed at reducing consumption and waste while also fostering community bonding.

Great news to wake up to
Congratulations, Erin, a well-deserved victory and a voice we sorely need in our town government.
Congratulation to all👏. It is a welcome out come to see some new faces and voice add to the town government.
This is one of the most up-lifting posts I've read in a while. Thank you for sharing (and inspiring).
First of all, the intersection improvements are scheduled for the upcoming years and they are not related to Westwood at all.
The plaza on 109 where the Post Office is located would be a prime site for a modern development. It is a relic from the 1950#. Why haven’t the town planners sought a project for that location?
This is Route 1, the most heavily commercialized corridor in the region, and calling this an “existential threat” isn’t based in reality.
