End of Summer Camp Brings Beginning of Fall Sports (Updated)

Summer vacation is coming to an end for the area's many students, as Friday, August 19, 2022, marked the final day of summer camp for campers at Hale Day Camp. Other area camps ended a week or more earlier.
While Westwood Public Schools begins the 2022-23 academic year on the last day of this month, Westwood's fall sports start up even before school begins. Â
Westwood High School Boys Varsity Soccer plays the high school's very first scheduled game - a scrimmage - with the Hawks of Xaverian Brothers High School.Â
For the girls, their first scrimmage games on the fall schedule happen two days later, on Friday, August 26th. Field Hockey plays Bishop Feehan High School at 8:30 a.m. on Westwood High School's Multi-Purpose Field. At the same day and time, the Westwood High School Girls Varsity Soccer team plays Walpole on Walpole's SWCAF Complex Field 1.
