As of the minute of this posting, there are four meetings of Westwood's town government this week. Of particular note:
Mon., 6/5 - Select Board meets to discuss the town's flag policy and notice for acting and temporary town administrator;
Tues., 6/6 - Planning Board holds a public hearing on a development proposal for 22 Everett Street, the site approved by Westwood residents in Town Meeting last year as the site for constructing state mandated multi-family housing
MONDAY
Select Board Meeting (remote), Monday, June 5, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. The board will discuss new business including the Town of Westwood flag policy and in old business of "Notice for Acting and Temporary Town Administrator." The board will also enter executive session to discuss: (1) discipline/dismissal of complaints or charges against a public officer/employee/staff member or individual; (2) strategy for collective bargaining with the fire union, Westwood Permanent Firefighters Association, Local 1994, IAFF; and (3) the purchase/exchange/lease/value of Hale Education, Inc. real property and a joint meeting with the Town of Dover.

TUESDAY

Dedham-Westwood Water District Meeting (hybrid), Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at 6:30 p.m. On the agenda are a presentation of 2022 audit; and reports by the treasurer, business manager, operations manager, and executive director.

Planning Board Public Hearings and Meeting (remote), Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. Planning Board will hold public hearings on:
- Mixed-use Multi-family Residential Overlay District (MUMFROD) Special Permit at 22 Everett Street, an application proposing to develop two new 4-story structures with about 232,903 square foot floor area. This address is the anticipated location for a new multi-family housing development approved by voters in 2022. The application proposes 183,703 square feet of residential floor area with 158 residential units, 12,000 square fee of commercial floor area, and 37,200 square feet of garage area, with surface parking, drainage, lighting, landscape and recreational improvements. The Planning Board agenda states that Conservation Commission will simultaneously hold a public hearing on the Notice of Intent for this project.
- Environmental Impact & Design Review (EIDR) Approval and Consideration of Special Permit for Reduction of Required Off-Street Parking at 190 Washington Street. Among the proposed changes, this application proposes to renovate and reuse the existing building by enclosing an exterior porch, constructing an addition, and would reduce the number of existing parking spaces from 14 to 13.
- Continuation of the public hearing for EIDR of Proposed Alterations to Mercedes Benz at 425 Providence Highway. This project would demolish and reconstruct the front of the existing car dealership, renovating the facade and creating a new footprint. with a new footprint.
- Amendments to Planning Board Rules and Regulations, including those related to EIDR and special permit granting authority, the University Avenue Mixed Use District, scenic roads, subdivision of land, and process for development of a climate action, resiliency and sustainability plan.
