Westwood Artists’ October Marketplace founders Kathy Zola (Fiber artist), Jane Wojick (form and function pottery) and Karen Flowers Cagan (photography) presented their works at the Westwood Artists’ October Market Place on October 14th on the lawn of the Westwood Council On Aging.

Throughout the lovely, cool, Autumn day, folks enjoyed shopping at the artist’s tables, catching up with friends and appreciating the incredible talent and creativity of the Westwood Artists.

Westwood residents Andrew Jonic, Carol Ahearn, Carol Gray, Karen Cagan, Lexi Jackson, Cynthia Senerchia, Lisa WB Walker, Jane Wojick, Michael Manning, and Kathy Zola, many of whom were represented at the marketplace, work in a wide variety of media, such as ceramics, sculpture, photography, painting, watercolor painting, jewelry, quilting and paper design.

It was a pleasure chatting with each artist and to hear their commitment to and love of their art. They shared how much they valued living in Westwood and being a part of the Westwood Artists.

Diane Rothauser is a Westwood resident with an avid interest in the arts. She is on the board of Westwood Community Chest and Needham Community Theatre. Thanks to Ms. Rothauser for contributing this piece to Westwood Minute.
