Almost 60 Thurston Middle School sixth-graders will take the stage to perform Bippity Boppity Baam!, a play that follows Petal, the teenager who eventually becomes the famous Fairy Godmother, as she navigates the ups and downs of fairy school. In this high-energy comedy many favorite fairytale characters come to life in unexpected ways as Petal struggles to earn her fairy wings.
Behind the scenes, a tech crew made up of nine eighth-graders and 11 high school students will oversee stage management, technical elements and production.
Performances take place in the Westwood High School auditorium on Friday, November 17, at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, November 18 at 2 p.m. Tickets are available online here, or may be purchased at the door using credit card or mobile pay only; no cash will be accepted.
