Thanks to the Westwood Cultural Council for sharing this news with Westwood Minute.
The Westwood Cultural Council, part of the Massachusetts Cultural Council, is seeking applications for grants to fund local community cultural programs, with upcoming deadlines in October.
Individuals, groups, and organizations may apply for projects such as workshops, lectures, exhibitions, science education and performing arts projects. All applications must be completed online and are due by October 16, 2024.
Grants are awarded after consideration of the benefits go the community, the qualifications of the individuals and organizations, community interest and the population segments served.
To learn more about the program and to access the online application, visit the Mass Cultural Council website at massculturalcouncil.org.
In addition, this year, another program is available that offers grants of $5,000.00 for school based projects that foster creative learning experiences in the arts, sciences, and humanities for K-12 students. This is a separate program and must be applied to separately. The closing date for this program is October 10, 2024.

The Townwide cleanup is wonderful. Unfortunately none of the
Westwood Conservation areas are included.
