Westwood Minute Thanks Readers with Raffle of Tickets to Needham Community Theatre's Fiddler on the Roof (Updated)

With November around the bend, Thanksgiving comes to mind, and as we’ve done in the past, Westwood Minute would like to say a big thank you to its supporters and subscribers! We’ve partnered with Needham Community Theatre and will be raffling off tickets to see NCT’s production of the nine-time Tony Award winning musical, Fiddler on the Roof!

Westwood Minute will randomly draw two winners from the pool of subscribers and supporters on or shortly after November 12, 2024. Each winner will be awarded two tickets to NCT’s production of Fiddler on the Roof at Newman Elementary School at 1155 Central Avenue in Needham. Performance dates are:

• Friday, November 22nd at 8 p.m.
• Saturday, November 23rd at 2 p.m.
• Sunday, November 24th at 2 p.m.
• Saturday, November 30th at 2 p.m. & 8 p.m.
• Sunday December 1st at 2 p.m.

Fiddler on the Roof has touched audiences worldwide with its humor, warmth, and honesty since its debut in 1964. Based on Yiddish author Sholem Aleichem’s beloved series of short stories, “Tevye the Dairyman,” Fiddler on the Roof explores universal themes of family, tradition, and acceptance that transcend barriers of race, class, nationality, and religion, leaving audiences with tears of laughter, joy, and sadness. With iconic songs like "Sunrise, Sunset," "If I Were a Rich Man," and "Matchmaker, Matchmaker," audiences are sure to enjoy this unforgettable experience. The NCT production, directed by Alyssa Burke and Tristan Burke, resonates just as powerfully today as it did in 1964.
