In its 5th year as a new Skating Club of Boston tradition, the Cranberry Open runs concurrently with the Cranberry Cup International in one location. Organizers call the Cranberry Open, an international event for seasoned athletes and rising stars, a "critical early stop on the road to the 2026 Olympic Winter Games." The Cranberry Cup International is part of the National Qualifying Series for U.S. skaters, across multiple levels and ages. Competition begins each day at various times. [more details]

Tom Brady Statue Unveiling & Patriots Preseason Game 1  - Fri Aug 8 6:00 pm

For Patriots fans looking for a more affordable option to view their favorite team in action, a ticket to a preseason game can be the way to go, with ticket prices at the time of this posting as low as around $32, when purchased together as part of a group of two or more seats. The game against the Washington Commanders begins at 7:30 p.m., but fans are encouraged to attend at 6:00 p.m. to watch a 15-20 minute ceremony honoring legendary quarterback Tom Brady, on the stadium's giant video boards. The G.O.A.T. will provide his reaction, as he is honored with being the first player in franchise history to be immortalized in a 12-foot tall bronze statue.
