The Westwood Public Library and Tuesday Evening Poets will present the fifth annual Poetry Reading and Open Mic at the main Westwood Library, 660 High Street, on Tuesday, May 5, 6:30 PM. Featured readers are Westwood Poet Laureate Beth Swinning, Youth Poet Laureate emerita Elizabeth Lowney, and Westwood Tuesday Evening Poets Jan Brogan, Mike Dwyer, Marilyn Gove, Karen Michelson, Sherri Stepakoff and Debra David.
Lynne Viti, inaugural poet Laureate of Westwood (2023-2025)will emcee the event. The Open Mic is open to all—bring poem you wrote or read a favorite poem by someone else. Open mic signups at the door start at 6:15 PM.
Poets will have books for sale and signing. Ample parking behind the library and at the overflow lot across High Street. The venue is accessible, and the event is free and open to the public.
This event is supported in part by a grant from the Westwood Cultural Council and the Masschusetts Cultural Council.

We used to spray our lawn with a company that said they used non-toxic chemicals. The loss of bees, frogs, pollinators and birds in our garden was dramatic.
