Pedestrian Suffers Serious Injuries, Woman Arrested for OUI, in Vehicle Crash in Norwood
Norwood Police have responded to a serious vehicle crash in Norwood around 7:36 p.m. on Wednesday, July 15, that resulted in the victim being flown by medical helicopter to a Boston hospital for treatment, Norwood Police Chief Christopher Padden has reported on Wednesday night.
Norwood Police and Fire responded to the area Washington Street and St. John Avenue and located an adult male suffering from serious injuries, reported to have resulted from being struck by a vehicle.
According to Norwood Police, he was treated at the scene by Norwood Fire Department before being transporting to a nearby landing zone. He was subsequently flown to a Boston Hospital.
Police say that an adult woman was taken into custody at the scene. She is facing charges that include operating under the influence of liquor.
The crash remains under investigation by the Norwood Police Department.
