Xaverian Brothers High School in Westwood has announced on Thursday, July 23, that Evrol Officer is the school's new director of community, culture and equity.
Mr. Officer is a 2014 graduate of the college preparatory day school, and returns to his alma mater with experience in mentoring underserved youth throughout Boston. The school's announcement noted that Mr. Officer has designed and led programs focused on entrepreneurship, financial literacy, professional development, and community service.
“Returning to Xaverian as an alumnus, I bring with me the eagerness and determination to help prepare the next generation of leaders for success,” he said. “Together, I hope to create opportunities that foster belonging and encourage personal growth, as we help prepare our students to lead with integrity both here at Xaverian and beyond.”
Xaverian Principal Dr. Michael Nicholson said, "Evrol’s passion for mentoring young people, his proven leadership skill set, and his understanding of our mission make him exceptionally well-suited for this role. We are excited to welcome him back to campus and are confident that he will help ensure Xaverian continues to be a place where every student feels supported and inspired to reach his full potential."
Thank you for this article! It’s so nice to see these staff members acknowledged for their hard work. I am especially grateful to our custodial staff who maintain the cleanliness of learning spaces during cold and flu season and any waves of the stomach bug.
I cannot remember the last time one of our elected reps (Lynch, Rush, or McMurtry) agreed to sit down with a challenger and answer questions.
