On Thursday, November 11, 2021, the Town of Westwood will hold a Veterans Day ceremony at Veterans Park at 11 a.m.
The ceremony will be attended by Mr. Dick Paster, U.S. Congressman Stephen Lynch, Massachusetts State Senator Rush, Massachusetts Representative Paul McMurtry, Select Board, the Town Administrator and Gold Star Mother Christine Devlin. An honor guard will also be in attendance.
In case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be moved indoors to the Council on Aging at 60 Nahatan Street.
These are great strides in addressing concerns about a lack of openness and two way dialogue raised by Westwood citizens. Thanks to the Select Board and to Mr. Read for listening and acting.
In promulgating the public comment policy, the Select Board has taken a big step towards showing willingness to engage in conversation with Westwood residents about the many important issues at hand—currently, the Fire Station 1 and the budget.
