Canton's Open Book Coffeehouse Opens 18th Year of Live Music

Thanks to Friends of the Canton Public Library for contributing this news to Westwood Minute.

The Open Book Coffeehouse is proud to announce that it will open its eighteenth year of offering quality and varied live music for the coming 2022-2023 season. The series kicks off on Saturday evening, October 15, 2022 at 7:30 p.m., featuring folk duo Bookmatch. Doors open at 6:45 p.m.

Don’t miss the mesmerizing and superbly accomplished Bookmatch. Two kindred spirits, joined by their love for acoustic music that touches the heart, G Rockwell and Micah Nicol marry virtuosic instrumentals and tender vocals in their project Bookmatch. Named after the practice of aligning two pieces of wood so that they look like mirror images of each other, Bookmatch's members approach the same genre and instruments from a different background, yielding musical alchemy that brings audiences in for a warm hug of an intertwining acoustic guitar soundscape.

The coffeehouse is located at the Canton Public Library, 786 Washington Street, Canton. Admission is $10 for the general public and $5 for students of any age. Donations to the performers made be made during the concert. Tickets are available that evening on a first come, first serve basis.

Enjoy the relaxing, warm atmosphere of friendly people, good music, hot coffee and home baked goodies. The Open Book Coffeehouse is located in the community room of the Canton Public Library at 786 Washington Street, Canton, and is made possible by the Friends of the Library. Parking is to the left when facing the library from Washington Street. Enter by the "Special Events" door to the left of the columns, midway into the parking area.
