School Committee's Search for New WPS Superintendent Begins

Westwood's School Committee meets on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. to discuss planning for the search process to find a new superintendent for Westwood Public Schools (WPS). Last week, WPS Superintendent Emily Parks announced her decision to leave the district at the end of the current school year to become Executive Director of The Education Cooperative (TEC).

Also on the committee's agenda is a vote to appoint a Westwood Public Schools representative to the TEC Board of Directors.

TEC is an education collaborative providing alternative and special education services which is made of member districts that include Westwood, Canton, Dedham, Dover, Dover-Sherborn, Framingham, Holliston, Hopkinton, Medfield, Medway, Millis, Natick, Needham, Norwood, Sherborn, Walpole, and Wayland.
