Xaverian Brothers High School Robotics Team Wins FIRST Tech Challenge

Hawk Robotics-The Ryken Force, the Xaverian Brothers High School robotics team, has received a berth at the Massachusetts FIRST Tech Challenge State Championship, which will be held on March 4, 2023 at Andover High School. The team earned its place by being the Winning Alliance Captain at the “Gears on the Loose” competition at Canton High School on February 18.

FIRST, which stands for “For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology” is a global organization that prepares young people for futures in technology through STEM challenges. FIRST Tech Challenge, is one of the divisions that FIRST has for students in grades 7-12.

In Massachusetts, FIRST Tech Challenge events are run by Boston Tech Initiative (https://bostontechinitiative.org/). Top finishers in the Massachusetts state championship will move on to the FIRST World Championship in Houston, TX, from April 19-22.
