In State Tournament, WHS Girls and Boys Basketball Each Prevail Over Opponents by 1 Point (UPDATED)

On Friday night, March 3, 2023, both Westwood High School girls and boys basketball teams prevailed over their opponents in the MIAA Division 2 Round of 32.

Westwood Boys Hoops (No. 29 seed) reported a 55-54 win over Shepherd Hill Regional High School (No. 4 seed).

Westwood Athletics tweeted a similarly close win at home for Westwood Girls Basketball (No. 4 seed), 46-45 over Dartmouth High School (No. 29 seed). 

Both teams move on to the Sweet Sixteen. Westwood Boys Basketball plays Walpole on Monday, March 6th at 6:00 p.m. in Walpole. WHS Girls Basketball will play Chicopee High School on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. at home in the Westwood High School gym.
