Local Author Releases First Novel, "Just Bounce It"

David Lifsitz, a resident of Medfield, has released his first novel, Just Bounce It, a fictional story about the coming of age of two teenage girls and the of power of team sports to help build self-confidence.

David says. “I had the great opportunity to coach my two daughters in youth sports for many years. One of the things I quickly noticed was that many young girls came to the teams suffering from a lack of self-confidence. My novel, Just Bounce It, weaves a fun and engaging story around the sport of youth lacrosse to help show the value of team sports in raising self-confidence, expanding social circles, and helping young girls realize they can accomplish anything they put their minds to.”

Just Bounce It summary:

High school sophomore Samantha (Sam) Newman lives a happy and fulfilling life with her parents on their small family farm near Lewes Delaware. Sam lives next door to her best friend Ella Jean Mandel, a smart, talented, and beautiful girl, who suffers from a daily battle for self-confidence.

Their lives are pretty simple until a chance interaction with Mary Henkel, a struggling high school lacrosse coach, turns all their lives inside out and upside down. See how they come together to help each other conquer their life challenges and make their dreams come true.

Just Bounce It, is an engaging story about two teenage girls, their families, a talented lacrosse coach, and the unique bond they forged that forever changes their lives.
