Paving Project for Clapboardtree Street is Extended to at Least July 20th (Updated)

Westwood's Clapboardtree Street paving project has been extended five days through at least Thursday, July 20, 2023, according to an announcement by the Town of Westwood on Twitter. Recent rain is a factor causing the delay.

Work is expected to continue on Monday, July 17th; Wednesday, July 19th; and Thursday, July 20th. If necessary, work will so take place on Friday, July 21st. With the extended work schedule, drivers may continue to experience some delays and/or detours.

On Clapboardtree Street, the paving project extends from the vicinity of Winter Street to Xaverian Brothers High School. Sections of Clapboardtree Street that have been closed during the project have included the section of Winter Street to Nahatan Street and the section between Nahatan Street to Washington Street.

The project includes milling to remove the top layer of asphalt, adjusting structures, and final paving.

The paving project, which includes Clapboardtree Street and its adjoining roads of Coach Lane and Meadowbrook Road, was initially planned to be completed by Friday, July 14th.
