12 New Correctional Officers Sworn in; Norfolk County Sheriff Celebrates The Graduates

Correctional officers from NSO 25-01 are sworn in.DEDHAM, MA – Norfolk County Sheriff Patrick McDermott has announced the graduation of twelve new correctional officers from the Norfolk County Sheriff’s Office Training Academy. A celebration of the officers from NSO 25-01 was held on Wednesday, August 13th at the Dedham Hilton, where the graduates were joined by their families and friends.
“This group of officers brings dynamic backgrounds, skills, and experience to our office, and they are poised to make an immediate impact,” said Sheriff McDermott.
“What each of these officers brings to their careers in public safety will be amplified by the training and skills they have received in our rigorous and demanding academy,” said Sheriff McDermott. “Their determination, diligence, and willingness to serve the public safety needs of Norfolk County should be recognized and applauded.”

John Nee, and Assistant Commander, Sgt. Ryan Howell.
“The past several months of classroom, field work, and physical training have prepared these officers for the challenges they will face,” said Sheriff McDermott. “They must rely on that extensive training to carry out the mission of the Norfolk County Sheriff’s Office to keep our facilities safe and secure, and to make reentry and reintegration the priority of our operations."
Former American Idol finalist Ayla Brown was a featured performer during the officers’ graduation, singing The Star Spangled Banner.
