Did you know that September is Hunger Action Month?
And that Westwood has a food pantry?
The Westwood Food Pantry is a member agency of the Greater Boston Food Bank. It provides non-perishable food items and basic toiletries to members of the Westwood community going through difficult times. Each month, it helps over 125 residents in 75 households throughout the town. Many recipients are seniors living on fixed incomes.
The pantry is open for in-person shopping 2 mornings per month. It also provides deliveries to home-bound clients once a month.
All of this work is done by volunteers, and it is 100%
funded through tax-deductible donations! Please consider giving something, either cash or food, to help a neighbor and honor Hunger Action Month.
