A Reminder that the Conservation Land on Clapboardtree Street belongs to all Town Residents, not Just the Three Members of the Select Board
Because the conservation land belongs to all residents, the Select Board should have involved Westwood citizens in the decision-making process before they filed a lawsuit against the Land Trust. Westwood residents should also have known beforehand that the legal costs of the lawsuit are being paid by our taxpayer dollars.
If it weren’t for the Bean Farm signs around town, many residents might never have learned about the lawsuit! Is that the way our elected officials wanted us to hear about the lawsuit?
