How to Participate in Town Government - Week of August 1, 2022

This week in Westwood's town government, Select Board discusses a bond sale and other funding options for the Hanlon-Deerfield School construction project, and Town Clerk Dottie Powers discusses voting procedures. 

Also, the Pedestrian and Bicycle Safety Committee meets for the first time since gathering enough members for a quorum. 


Select Board Meeting via Zoom, Monday, August 1, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. On the agenda is discussion of funding options and approval of a bond sale for the Hanlon-Deerfield School construction project. Town Clerk Dottie Powers will discuss early voting and the state primary warrant. There will also be discussion of a Fall Town Meeting and/or Special Town Meeting and a Strategic Plan Update from the library.

Pedestrian and Bicycle Safety Committee Meeting via Zoom, Thursday, August 4, 2022 at 7:30 p.m. In a first meeting of this committee since collecting enough members to constitute a quorum, the committee will introduce all members and will select officers. The agenda includes discussion to amend Bylaws to reduce the quorum requirement and other technical changes. Also, up for discussion are a Gay Street sidewalk, updates from Police, Public Works and Planning Board and Westwood Community Trails.
