Find answers to your questions below!

Important dates, deadlines and voting options to know about:

Saturday, October 22, 2022 was the first day for in-person, early voting in the Massachusetts state election. Early, in-person voting is in the Jaillet Meeting Room of the Westwood Police Station at 588 High Street. For a schedule of times that this polling location is open on Mondays through Saturdays from now through November 4, 2022, click here.

Saturday, October 29, 2022 is the last day to register to vote in the State Election. Not sure if you are registered? Click here to find out. New Westwood residents and others who need to register may do so at the Town Clerk's office. You can also register to vote online here.

November 1, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. is the deadline to request a vote-by-mail ballot. Request your mail-in ballot from the Secretary of the Commonwealth by clicking here, or mail/email your request to the Town Clerk by filling out this application.

November 4, 2022 is when early, in-person voting ends. Early, in-person voting is in the Jaillet Meeting Room of the Westwood Police Station at 588 High Street. For a schedule of times that this polling location is open from now through November 4, 2022, click here.

November 5, 2022 is when the Town Clerk will process early votes by mail that have so far been received. The vote tabulation is a public process and open for viewing, beginning at 8:00 a.m. in the lower level meeting room of Town Hall, 580 High Street in Westwood. Mailed ballots that are received after November 5th will be processed on Election Day.

November 8, 2022 is State Election Day. Voters can cast their in-person votes or submit a mail-in vote through 8:00 p.m.

To cast your in-person vote in the traditional manner, head to Westwood High School at 200 Nahatan Street, the single polling location for all Westwood residents. The high school gym will be open for voting from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

To submit your mail-in voting ballot on November 8, submit it to the Town Clerk's office, drop it into the ballot box in front of the Westwood Police Station, or mail it to the Town Clerk by U.S. mail.

Mailed ballots submitted on Election Day must be postmarked on or before 8:00 p.m. State election ballots that are mailed can still be counted when received within three days after Election Day. Because the third day after this Election Day falls on a holiday, November 12 at 5:00 p.m. will be counted as the deadline for receipt of mailed ballots.
