A series of two workshops, led by Westwood poet laureate Lynne Viti, is open to those who have never written poetry before but would like to try, as well as to those who have dabbled in poetry, whether recently or decades ago.
For the first session on October 31, 1:45-3:00 p.m., choose two family photos and bring them to the first workshop, in paper or album form or digital images on a electronic tablet (not a cell phone).
Participants should also bring a journal notebook, drugstore marble composition notebook, or a pad of lined paper, and pens or sharpened pencils.
Participants will write two or three poems during each session, responding to assigned prompts, and will share their work with the group by reading it aloud to the resounding applause of their supportive, respectful fellow poets.
To register for this free workshop, call the Islington Branch of the Westwood Public Library at 781-326-5914 or go to https://westwoodlibrary.libcal.com/event/10913039
Sunny, with a high of 64 and low of 45 degrees. Sunny in the morning, clear in the afternoon and evening,
Thanks Ms. Viti for calling attention to the language regarding the Reimbursement of Expenses as detailed in the Conservation Restriction on 665 Clapboardtree Street.
Thank you, Ms. Viti. That is precisely why the Town is seeking the judge’s interpretation and ruling. Once again, you are reinforcing Mr. Moore’s previous arguments for why the Town and the WLT need to allow the declaratory judgment to play out – so the judge can rule
The Townwide cleanup is wonderful. Unfortunately none of the
Westwood Conservation areas are included.
Hi Ken, if there is an area in town that you'd like to clean, please reach out to us at westwoodenvironment@gmail.com. We will add it to the list so that you can sign up for it.
