Sudden Death of Elderly Resident Outside Westwood Home

A 91 year-old man was found unresponsive outside his Westwood home on Blue Hill Drive and was subsequently pronounced dead by responding paramedics on Monday morning, January 22nd, according to Westwood Police Department.

Westwood Police Lieutenant Christopher Sheehy noted that shortly before 10:30 a.m. on Monday, police received a report from the driver of a garbage truck and another individual regarding an unresponsive man on Blue Hill Drive. Police and fire departments sent units to the residence on the 200 block and observed the elderly man outside on his property, unresponsive. Paramedics declared the man dead at the scene.

The Massachusetts State Police and the Norfolk District Attorney's office were notified, and the services of a medical examiner have been called on.
