Westwood Tuesday Evening Poets Publish a Second Anthology

     Nine poets in the Westwood Public Library’s Tuesday evening workshop have contributed two original poems each to this year’s anthology, “Second Harvest,” edited with  a foreword by Lynne Viti, Westwood’s inaugural poet laureate.  Poets whose work appears in the chapbook  are Mike Dwyer, Marilyn Gove, Karen Michelson, Avi Glaser, Debra David, Brian Mich, Elizabeth Johnston, Sherri Stepakoff and Johanna Herren.
  Viti writes in her editor’s note, “As the inaugural Poet Laureate of Westwood, I am delighted to lead this group and commend these selections to your reading pleasure.” Westwood High English and creative writing teacher Kieran Moriarty notes, “We explore memories captured in images that push us to question ‘what will they glean of our customs in a thousand years?’ Through the poets' words, we hear and see small but significant details commemorating the people who have filled the poets' lives.”   

    Copies of this limited publication run will be added to the main and branch library collection in the coming weeks.
