Local fans of high school football will be thrilled at the opportunity to watch two local teams face-off for the Super Bowl crown in Game 15 of MIAA Division 1 Football at a day and location to be announced.
On Friday, November 22nd, No. 4 ranked Needham High School knocked off No. 1 ranked St. Johns Prep, 22-14, at Burlington High School.
On Saturday, November 23rd, No. 3 ranked Xaverian Brothers High School from Westwood triumphed over No. 2 ranked Boston College High at Brockton High School, 31-14, sealing the Hawks' spot in the Final.

These are great strides in addressing concerns about a lack of openness and two way dialogue raised by Westwood citizens. Thanks to the Select Board and to Mr. Read for listening and acting.

In promulgating the public comment policy, the Select Board has taken a big step towards showing willingness to engage in conversation with Westwood residents about the many important issues at hand—currently, the Fire Station 1 and the budget.
