It's the time of year when festivals and yard sales pop up, and we've got the Science on State Street festival and a garage/estate sale hosted by the Daughters of the American Revolution this weekend, among other events.

Westwood High School
Westwood's Annual Town Election will be held on Tuesday, April 29th. Registered voters can cast ballots at the Westwood High School gymnasium at 200 Nahatan Street, from from 7 AM to 8 PM. [more details]
Puppet Showplace Theater
A group of bumbling puppet pirates get in the way of the search for buried treasure undertaken by 8 year old Lucy and her goofy friend, Little Chucky. This performance is targeted for kids aged 4 through 9 years of age, but all ages can enjoy it. Everybody Loves Pirates stars 15 hand crafted mouth and rod puppets and an 8-foot paper mache pirate ship. [more details]
The Fallout Shelter
This blues band plays guitar, drums, bass and harmonica with vocals all with an extra-large sense of performance. They've flipped a snare drum over mid-solo and then back again, tossed confetti into the audience, and play a "killer" harmonica. [more details]
Barlow Lane
The Aaron Guild Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) will be holding its 21st Annual Garage/Estate Sale on Saturday, April 26 from 9 AM until 2 PM on Barlow Lane in Westwood (the first house on the right on Barlow Lane, just off Route 109). Take a peek at household items, jewelry, kitchen utensils, bric-a-brac, toys, books, tools, small furniture, and estate items. [more details]

The Friends of the Westwood Library opens its book store from 10 AM to 4 PM. Shop our collection of like-new books and puzzles! The inventory is updated weekly, which means you never know what gems you'll find on our shelves. [more details]
Christa McAuliffe Center and O'Connor Parking Lot at Framingham State University
From noon to 3 PM, visitors can enjoy Science on State Street - Framingham State University’s annual science festival, a community-wide event organized by the Christa McAuliffe Center in collaboration with MetroWest STEM Education Network. Participate in hands-on activities that explore science, technology, engineering, and math and the ways they support environmental justice, renewable energy, and environmental sustainability! Canton Town Hall (start)
The Friends of the Canton Public Library are excited to announce the 2nd Annual Canton Public Library 5K Fun Run on Sunday, April 27, 2025. The 5K Fun Run is open to serious runners, as well as casual enthusiasts, and anyone else who loves a good race! Families with strollers and walkers are encouraged to participate in this community event.
