On Thursday, December 5th at 5:30 p.m., the Xaverian Hawks will compete against the Needham Rockets at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough for the right to be called the 2024 MIAA Division 1 Champions in high school football.
Throughout regular games of the 2024 season, the undefeated Needham Rockets held their opponents to single digit scoring, except for one opponent. Walpole managed 10 points to Needham's 21 points at their matchup on October 4th. The Rockets had an average margin of victory of 13.5 points per game.
The Xaverian Hawks, with a win-loss record of 5-3 before tournament play, faced tougher opponents who earned an average rating of 16.6730 in the Division 1 Football Power Rankings, compared to Needham's opponents who earned an average rating of 6.5645.
General admission tickets for the Superbowl of MIAA Division 1 football are available through Ticketmaster. Ticketholders can not only enjoy this game between local teams, but can view two other matches that day. At 3:00 p.m., Duxbury plays Scituate and at 8:00 p.m., King Phillip goes against Catholic Memorial.
