What offers holiday gift ideas, event tickets, local dining, local art, and community building all in one place? Try the First Parish of Westwood Christmas Fair, an annual, community event that makes its return to the church on Saturday, December 3, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with free admission to the general public.

This year's silent auction offers an array of valuable and unique items, including Patriots and Celtics tickets, Boston Symphony tickets, and restaurant gift cards. Also up for are auction are reservations for "Best Seats in the House" to the First Parish Christmas Concert where the New Sound Assembly Barbershop Chorus will perform on the day following the fair, Sunday, December 4th at 4 p.m.

Along with the silent auction, holiday shoppers will also find additional gift ideas, holiday food, and decorations. There will be hand knit sweaters and hats for infants and toddlers as well as hats for adults.  Christmas decorations will also be offered. Visitors can choose Christmas cookies from a wide variety and a take-out lunch featuring chili and clam chowder.

As it traditionally has done in the past, the fair will offer fresh, 12" balsam wreaths for purchase. But in a twist this year, the church is trying something different. The wreaths will not be ready-made, but will come with decorations and instructions to enable purchasers to decorate exactly as they wish.

In a similar take-and-make theme, luminary kits will be available from the Westwood Community Chest for those who wish to take part in Luminary Night on December 11, 2022. On that night, locals are invited to follow instructions to set up luminaries outside their homes in a show of community support and celebration.

Several additional, independent vendors and artists will also be participating. Lidibug Studios will be present with water colors of New England landscapes, dogs, and cats. Westwood Artist Cindy Senerchia will bring her jewelry and paintings of dramatic sunsets and ocean vistas. Kathleen O'Donnell will offer handmade origami earrings.

The Christmas Fair will be held in First Parish's meeting hall at 252 Nahatan Street in Westwood.
