Westwood Community Chest (WCC), the nonprofit that provides confidential, financial crisis assistance grants to Westwood residents in need, invites supporters and neighbors throughout the community to celebrate the holidays and demonstrate support for neighbors through WCC’s first Luminary Night on Sunday, December 11, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Together, participants in Luminary Night will help create a memorable, experience for the whole town.

WCC’s vision of the night includes neighborhoods lined with beautiful, luminary lights, while friends, families, and children gather together to enjoy the sight. Perhaps they will take a drive or stroll with mugs of hot cocoa and catch the first signs of snowflakes that night. This is Luminary Night – neighbors uniting both to share joy and demonstrate support for their neighbors in need. WCC invites the entire community to join and participate in a beautiful evening.

Luminary Night kits can be purchased for $20 each. They contain instructions and simple parts to create 10 luminaries. This event is made possible by the generous sponsorship of Frugal Fannies and local businesses and all proceeds will be directed to WCC grants to assist Westwood residents. The kits can be purchased with cash or Venmo (no checks) at these Westwood locations between November 29th and December 11th:
