This Memorial Day weekend, similarly to neighboring towns, Westwood remembers the sacrifice of members of the armed forces with its annual Memorial Day Parade on Monday. The Norfolk County Sheriff also holds an earlier observation on Saturday, with a Flags of Our Families Ceremony and Flag Installation.
The New England Revolution will honor servicemembers and first responders, celebrating them in a Salute to Heroes event that includes special uniforms and fireworks after a soccer match.
Additionally for sports fans, on Friday, the Wolverines play at home in a Boys Varsity Lacrosse match against Medfield; Westwood's Girls Softball meet up with Lexington in a non-league game at home.
Walpole Historical Society and two Boston museums hold free, open house hours this weekend. Lexington holds a street fair. These are a few highlights, but there are more ideas for your weekend below. Because things can change, be sure to call ahead and double-check on your destination before stepping out the door!
