The Westwood Cultural Council, the local organization which disburses grants from the Massachusetts Cultural Council to local applicants in the arts, humanities, and sciences, has finalized its funding for the 2023 grant year. The Council has funded either whole or in part ten projects for FY 2023:

  • Westwood Council on Aging will receive funding for two musical programs;
  • Downey, Hanlon, Martha Jones and Sheehan Schools, as well as the Integrated Preschool will all receive grant money to fund programs;
  • Poetry in the Schools program will be funded for another year;
  • Westwood's two libraries also received funding for programs. The Main library will host a Creative Building program and the Islington Library will present a Musical Baseball program.

The Council will be accepting applications for 2024 in September.
