This Wednesday, October 4, 2023, will be the last day of the season for the Westwood Farmers Market, announced organizer Ken Foscaldo over the past weekend.
Mr. Foscaldo and market vendors invite all in the community to stop by the market this Wednesday for their first or last visit of the year. The market is located in the parking lot of St. Margaret Mary Parish at 845 High Street in Westwood. Market hours are from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Since the Westwood Farmers Market reopened in June 2023 after a hiatus of a few years, participation has grown. Vendors this summer have included: Bibi's Bakery, Captain Marden's Fresh Seafood, Cousins Maine Lobster, Le Petit Four Bakery, Maple Jack Maple Syrup, Oakdale Farm, Paula's Blooming Hope, Sammi's Natural Way, and Sabrina and Graceful Events & Designs.
In summing up his feelings as point person for reviving the market, Mr. Foscaldo provided this comment to Westwood Minute: "Overall we were pleased with the support of the community. I plan to work between now and next year to sign up more vendors for next season." Mr. Foscaldo ended his comments by noting that the Farmers Market is a good way to build community in Westwood.
Thanks to Ken Foscaldo for sharing this news with Westwood Minute.
