Xaverian Brothers High School Names Timothy Gardner Head Lacrosse Coach

Westwood, MA – Coach Timothy Gardner of Newton is returning to the helm of Xaverian Brothers High School's (Xaverian's) lacrosse program as the Head Varsity Lacrosse Coach starting in spring 2024. Gardner, whose previous 20-year coaching run was marked by seven Catholic Conference championships, a state title, 240 wins, and multiple Coach of the Year awards from both the Boston Globe and Boston Herald, is enthusiastic about picking up where he left off.

"I am very excited about returning to Xaverian lacrosse, along with my assistant coach, Bob Buckley [],” says Gardner. “We are looking forward to working with such a great group of experienced seniors and continuing the strong tradition of excellence that Xaverian lacrosse embodies." 

Xaverian’s Athletic Director, Ted Currle [], is confident in the 2024 coaching team, saying, “We are thrilled to have Coach Gardner back at the helm along with Coach Buckley. Their professionalism, leadership, and knowledge of the sport will undoubtedly put the Hawks in position for a great season.”
