Westwood's Kathleen Reissfelder's Multi-Goal Performance Helps Lead Endicott Field Hockey to a Win

Westwood’s Kathleen Reissfelder led her Endicott College Gulls field hockey team to its win this Tuesday, 4-1, against the Southern Maine Huskies in Gorham, Maine, announced Endicott Athletics and Recreation shortly after the non-conference match on September 26, 2023. It was Ms. Reissfelder’s third multi-goal performance of the season.

Ms. Reissfelder is currently a junior at Endicott. Prior to her collegiate career, she captained the Westwood High School field hockey team where, among numerous athletic honors, she earned recognition as League All-Star. In ice hockey, she similarly shined as a team captain and League All-Star.

Also contributing to Endicott’s win on Tuesday was Maddy Dengler of Winchester, Massachusetts, who scored just over three minutes into the game, and Lindsay Bruns of Belfast, Maine who scored in the second quarter.

In goal, Alexis DeMattia of Methuen, Massachusetts made nine saves, improving to 7-2 this season.

Endicott Field Hockey is a Division III program, and five-time conference title holder. It is now 3-0 in the all-time series. Endicott will next play Cabrini University at home on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at 11:00 a.m.
