On March 25, 2024, shortly after 6:30 a.m., Westwood Police arrested a 50 year-old male resident of Somerset, Massachusetts, on multiple charges including kidnapping, following a call placed from Lambert’s Plaza in which the male caller told police that he was being held against his will.

Multiple officers responded to the location of the call. Police found a dark colored sedan with the suspect, who was operator of the car, and his alleged victim. The alleged victim, an adult male, was taken to the police station to be interviewed.

Police found the suspected kidnapper in possession of drugs and two double edged knives. He was arrested and charged with kidnapping, two counts of carrying a dangerous weapon, possession of a Class B controlled substance, and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor.

The suspect was transported to Dedham District Court shortly after 2:00 p.m. that same day for arraignment. Police continue to investigate this open case.
