Westwood voters will have an opportunity to elect town leaders on April 29. It's worth knowing who does serve, and who aspires to serve, our Town in various elected posts:

  • Twelve candidates are running for eleven seats;
  • The only contested race is for Planning Board;
  • The candidates for the uncontested races are all incumbents.

Despite there being only one contested race, many of the candidates participated in the March 30 League of Women Voters Candidates Forum to introduce themselves and discuss their offices and priorities with voters. Nine candidates had also recorded introductions as of April 10 at Westwood Media Center.

If you'd like to know more about those who have or aspire to take on leadership roles in running our Town, you can watch the Forum and the Videos:

  • The 3/30 Candidate Forum video is here
  • The Candidate Message videos are posted here.
  • Election information is here.

All registered voters are encouraged to exercise their right and responsibility to cast informed votes in this election.

Thanks to Claire Galkowski and Westwood Walpole Dedham League of Women Voters for contributing these election resources to Westwood Minute.
