Just look what was under the snow. A short, two-day period of temperatures ranging from the 50s to 70s was enough to encourage spring's daffodils to emerge, just soon as the snow melted.
Photo by Westwood Minute/Darlene Wong Cancell. The green shoots of daffodils begin to emerge on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, just days after the snow covering them had melted.Do you have a sign of spring or a special moment in or around the Westwood area to share? Moderate rain, with a high of 71 and low of 46 degrees. Fog during the morning, partly cloudy for the afternoon, clear during the evening, fog overnight.
The Townwide cleanup is wonderful. Unfortunately none of the
Westwood Conservation areas are included.
