Massachusetts' annual sales tax holiday is this Saturday, August 8, and Sunday, August 9, but there is more to do than shop! On Friday, civic-minded residents can attend a public meeting of the FS1 Steering Committee and Westwood Select Board when they plan to select a preferred site for the new Fire Station 1. When town business is over, take a look at activities through Thursday that include outdoor concerts, planetarium shows, Patriots training camp in Foxborough and meeting animals Milton. There are also local play opportunities for children.

Fire Station 1 Steering Committee Meeting to Select Preferred Site - Fri Aug 7 9:45 am

At a meeting open to the public in the Champagne Meeting Room, the FS1 Steering Committee will discuss and determine which one of three possible sites for a new Fire Station 1 it will recommend to Westwood Select Board, which will be in attendance.
