The Friends of the Westwood Library (FOL) will hold their annual meeting at 6:30 PM on Thursday, May 18th in the Meeting Room of the Main Library.

This year’s guest speaker will be Lynne Viti, Westwood Poet Laureate, reading from her most recently published book, The Walk to Cefalù, as well as from her work-in-progress, a collection of poems focusing on Westwood locations, history, people and artifacts. These include Hale, the old Westwood Lodge, Buckmaster Pond, Bibi Café, and the Old Westwood Cemetery. An informal Q & A and book signing will follow the reading.

Lynne Viti is the author of four poetry collections and one short fiction book. She was most recently awarded prizes for her poetry by New York City’s Westbeth Artists Housing’s Miriam Chaikin Award for Poetry, and the Allen Ginsberg Poetry Contest, sponsored by the Poetry Center in Paterson, New Jersey.
